Mobile Vessel Pump-out Service
M/V “Waste Aweigh”
The Richardson’s Bay Regional Agency, in cooperation with the Division of Boating and Waterways, is operating a sewage pump-out vessel for servicing Richardson’s Bay area marinas and anchored vessels. The M/V “Waste Aweigh”, is a 24′ Pump Kleen fiberglass motorboat built by Marine Boatbuilders of Rhode Island. It is powered by a 115 HP Johnson outboard and equipped with a powerful suction pump that feeds directly to a 350 gallon integral holding tank. It is a simple, elegant solution for emptying your holding tank properly.
Contact M/V “Waste Aweigh” two ways: through mthead.com, phone 650-364-3496, or through Environmental Marine Services at 415-465-0149 with any questions regarding your boatside pump-out plan
Regular holding tank pump-out with M/V “Waste Aweigh” keeps the odor at bay!
Clean-up properly after your pets with plastic bags, to be deposited in garbage cans. Pets breed fecal coliform too.
Richardson’s Bay was declared a Federal “No Discharge Zone” on August 11, 1987. This means that direct discharge of effluent into Richardson’s Bay waters is a misdemeanor crime. Direct pump-out of sewage poses a serious health hazard and degrades the environment that we live in. Annual water testing for fecal coliform has shown that we sometimes have bacteria levels that exceed standards for water recreation.
Never discharge heads or holding tanks into the Bay. This includes Lectra-San treatment heads!
